CAD Drafter - Architecture

IDG is seeking a full time CAD Drafter.

 

The position requires the performance of all aspects of architecture as it relates to individually assigned projects. The ideal candidate possesses the:

  •  Ability to participate in several capacities or projects simultaneously, each in different phases.

  •  Initiative to take responsibility for specific tasks and the willingness to assist when needed.

  •  Ability to draft Construction Documents and provide detailing required for construction.

  •  Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures

  •  Knowledge and skills to prepare architectural drawings and designs to ensure adherence to             established specifications and standards.

  •  Knowledge of architectural detailing and experience with assembling construction documents.

  •  Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Proficiency in software packages including current versions of Revit, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), and Microsoft Office; experience with model building codes and ability to synthesize multiple code requirements; good written and communication skills are preferred; excellent organizational and time management skills are required.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Architecture Technology or in a related field (work experience may be a substitute for an associate’s degree)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience

Project Manager - Architecture

IDG is seeking a full time Project Manager.

 

The Project Manager will coordinate all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. The PM will prepare strategic plans for project success and serve as the primary liaison with clients to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction. The PM will actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs, project communications and documentation, and project team assignments. The PM will estimate fees, determine the scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts for the most complex projects.

 

The position requires the candidate to perform all management tasks for the full duration of a project.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Proposal preparation and interview participation

  • Meeting with clients to assist in determining the scope of work

  • Development and administration of AIA contracts with clients and consultants

  • Development and management of project budgets and schedules

  • Understanding of AIA Masterspecs, including the ability to write Division 0 and 1

  • Team building and mentorship

  • Management of small to large scale complex design projects

  • Ensure project deliverables meet design criteria and regulatory requirements.

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Knowledge of software packages including current versions of Revit, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office; thorough knowledge of model building codes and ability to synthesize multiple code requirements; strong written and communication skills are a must; excellent client interface capabilities and organizational skills required.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Ten or more years of experience as a Project Manager.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program (licensure and years of work experience may be a substitute for a college degree)

  • Licensure required

Project Architect

IDG is seeking a full time Project Architect. 

 

The position requires the performance of all aspects of architecture as it relates to individually assigned projects. The ideal candidate will skillfully:

  • Present ideas and designs during interviews and meetings.

  • Meet with clients to assist in refining the design of the project.

  • Participate in several capacities or projects simultaneously, each in different phases.

  • Guide the design team through Construction Documentation and provide detailing required for construction.

  • Plan work flow and design solutions to meet project budgets and deadlines, both in-house and for the clients.

  • Coordinate with consultants and other disciplines that are involved in the project, i.e. structural, electrical, civil engineers.

  • Work with contractors and other team members during Construction Phase services to maintain design intent.

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Proficiency in software packages including current versions of Revit, Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Google SketchUp, and Microsoft Office; understanding of model building codes and ability to synthesize multiple code requirements; strong written and communication skills; excellent client interface capabilities and organizational skills.

  • Five or more years of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program (licensure and years of work experience may be a substitute for a college degree)
