Project Size: 5,935 sq.ft.
In search of a new office space, IDG found a decommissioned fire station built in 1909. The exterior was restored to its original design by incorporating large wood carriage doors, similar window styles as well as other various aesthetic details. The building’s interior reflects a more contemporary design. On the main floor, a central core, consisting of four large offices, utilizes open space without hiding or touching the original brick walls. Other support spaces include a conference room, ADA toilet facilities, large kitchen, reception desk, and three workstations. The ceiling was left exposed to highlight the one hundred year-old structure and architectural elements. The upper level houses two large offices, a conference room, kitchenette, toilets, storage, and a large open space.
