Jefferson Center is the former Jefferson High School, which was closed in 1975. The school sat empty until 1993, when it reopened as Jefferson Center, a mixed-use facility housing arts, social services and governmental tenants. Fitzpatrick Hall is located in the school’s former Industrial Arts wing where welding, masonry, carpentry and auto repair were taught. The program for the space called for the creation of an elegant ballroom/meeting facility that would be utilized for wedding receptions, parties, business meetings, training seminars and performances.
