FFCU partnered with IDG to transform a +6,000-square-foot former chain restaurant, strategically located in a vibrant retail center, into a dynamic mixed-use facility. The primary challenge was to re-imagine the building’s facade—infusing one side with FFCU’s distinctive brand identity while designing the other for flexible lease space. To manage costs efficiently, IDG retained much of the existing exterior structure and window placements, thoughtfully integrating new architectural elements such as the signature FFCU tower and a functional drive-through.

Inside, the space was completely gutted: one half was reinvented as a bright, welcoming branch that reflects FFCU’s commitment to customer experience, while the other now houses a lively, high-traffic ice cream shop. Exterior improvements included the replacement of sidewalks and patio areas to provide safe, fully ADA-compliant access to all areas of the property.
